Read Aloud Communities Mini-grant Application


Read Aloud Nebraska will be offering up to four mini-grants in the amount of
$250.00 each for Read Aloud Communities to use to implement a new program or
improve upon an existing one during August 2008 - July 2009.
The application deadline is November 1, 2008 with recipients to be notified in November!


Please make sure you are eligible before continuing

To be eligible for a mini-grant, you must be able to answer "yes" to the following questions:

Were you a Read Aloud Community in 2007-08?
Have you renewed your participation in the program for 2008-09 using our online application?

If eligible, please respond to the following questions. Be as specific as you can!

1. How do you propose to use a Read Aloud Communities mini-grant? Please include a brief description of activities and how funds will be used.

2. How would a Read Aloud Communities mini-grant help you promote "reading aloud to children" beyond what you are already doing?

3. What is the expected completion date for your program?

4. How many children and/or families do you hope to impact with this program?

5. Who will be involved in the implementation of this program?

6. If your project requires additional funding, where will it come from?

7. How will you acknowledge Read Aloud Nebraska in any publicity related to your program?

8. Read Aloud Nebraska is always looking for opportunities to share successful programs with its member communities. If awarded a Read Aloud Communities mini-grant, would you agree to allow us to share information (e.g. pictures, an article, etc.) about your program with other communities through our website and/or a conference?
