Read Aloud Party Held in Hartington!
The community of Hartington was recently recognized as a 2007 Read Aloud Community by Read Aloud Nebraska and was the winner of a drawing for a "Read Aloud Party." $100 was given to the Hartington library to sponsor this party during the month of November.
Storybook characters Thing 1 and Thing 2 along with Holy Trinity’s Kindergarten class took a trip to the city library for the Read Aloud Party.
All children visiting the library that week participated in a trivia contest and registered for a chance to win new books. At the library’s regular story time session the children listened to great read aloud stories and played parachute games. They played a guessing game with animal cookies and used their imaginations to act out the animal.
